The Badv Lab
Translational Biomedical Engineering Laboratory
Welcome to the Badv Lab
The Badv Lab works at the interface of engineering, medicine and biomedical sciences and pursues the design and synthesis of biomaterials and functional interfaces for different biomedical applications.
This is all done with the ambition to understand the physiological responses and interactions occurring at the interface of biomaterials and biological systems.

Our Vision
Our research interests lie at the interface of biomaterials design and fabrication, surface and tissue engineering and micro/nano technology. The Badv Lab works at the interface of engineering, medicine and biomedical sciences to address the many shortcomings associated with biomaterials and biointerfaces. The overall goal of our research program is to explore new combinations of synthetic and natural biomaterials, fabrication methods and modification techniques to design and develop the next generation of multifunctional biointerfaces that mimic the biological environment, prevent non-specific adhesion, promote desirable biointeractions and in effect guarantee the reliability and performance of the system.
Our Values
Our lab focuses on translational research and provides a
highly interactive, positive, supportive and multidisciplinary training
environment for the next generation of researchers.
